creative Knowing consultancy (creative Knowing) is committed to protecting your privacy. Your personal information is only collected, used and disclosed by creative Knowing in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

You are always entitled to access, review, and request changes to or deletion of your personal information. For instructions on how to make these requested and the policy that is followed upon receipt of these requests, please see the section of the privacy statement entitled “REQUEST ACCESS TO PERSONAL INFORMATION PROCEDURE”.

1. Information Collected
We only collect personal information about you when you specifically and knowingly provide it on our website or to our company representatives. If we have contacted you or you request information about our company or the services we offer, you may be asked to provide personal information. This information may include, but is not limited to the following:

  • Personal Name
  • Business Name
  • Address
  • Telephone and Fax Numbers
  • Email Address

We may also collect passively identifiable information during the time you are browsing our website. This is the information your browser provides when you enter the Site. Passive information includes your browser type and version, domain origin, length of stay per session, and website footprints.

We may also collect further personal information about you during our business relationship. This information may also be stored within our database for the purpose of furthering our relationship. Any information gathered will only be gathered from readily available public information. This information may include, but is not limited to the following:

  • Birthday and other special event dates.
  • Hobbies or other areas of interest.
  • Familial information.

2. Use Of Your Information
creative Knowing only collects and uses your information for the following purposes:

  • To establish and maintain a responsible commercial relationship with you and to provide ongoing service. For example, contact information is collected for the purpose of follow up contact regarding the information that was provided to you.
  • To understand your needs and preferences. For example, we maintain a record of the products and services you receive from us, and we may ask for additional information so that we can serve you better.
  • To develop, enhance, market or provide products and services. For example, we may, from time to time, review and analyze your use of our Site, products and/or services to help us provide better product recommendations and special offers that we think will interest you.
  • To develop or enhance our continued business relationship. For example, to wish our clients a happy birthday, or to invite you to special events we feel you may be interested in.

3. Disclosure of Your Information
There are a variety of circumstances where we may need to disclose some personal information about you. We will notify you should any circumstance arise in which we are required to disclose your personal information, unless prevented by legal requirements. Here are some examples:

We may disclose your personal information to:

  • You or any person who is seeking the information as your agent, and can offer reasonable proof of this assignment of rights. For example, we may provide information about our records to your legal representative if we are satisfied that that individual is requesting the information on your behalf
  • a public authority, agent of a public authority or law enforcement agency

ANY DISCLOSURE OF YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION TO A THIRD PARTY IS CONFIDENTIAL AND THE INFORMATION SHALL BE USED ONLY FOR THE PURPOSE FOR WHICH IT WAS DISCLOSED. CREATIVE KNOWING WILL NOT SELL, RENT, OR SHARE YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION FOR ANY PURPOSE OTHER THAN DESCRIBED HERE.

4. Retention of Your Information
The information you provide to us is stored in our secure database for a period of 3 years after the last point of contact creative Knowing has with you. You must notify creative Knowing if you no longer want your information to be retained by us. If you contact us with a question or comment, any information identifying you is retained in your individual record for the duration described above in order to best serve your needs, unless we are required to keep it for a longer period of time.

Please note that it may be impossible to delete your information completely without some residual information remaining in our databases. creative Knowing will endeavor to remove any information in our databases within 10 business days of your request.

5. Protection Of Your Information
In order to protect your personal information and your right to privacy, creative Knowing:

  • uses servers that are protected by firewalls, which are frequently updated to enhance security
  • protects the confidentiality of your personal information when dealing with other companies
  • strives to keep your personal information as accurate and up-to-date as is necessary for the purposes identified above
  • uses other appropriate security safeguards with respect to its databases, computer networks and systems, and
  • will honor any request you may make for access to your personal information

6. Accuracy of the Information and Your Access to It
creative Knowing relies on the accuracy of the information provided by you, but accepts responsibility for the management and confidentiality of the personal information it collects. Please contact our Administrator at info@creativeknowing.com to:
• change or confirm your personal information
• have your information removed from our databases

REQUEST ACCESS TO PERSONAL INFORMATION PROCEDURE

1. Requests for access to information must be made in writing. These requests can be emailed to the privacy officer at info@creativeknowing.com or mailed to the following address:

An individual may request access to another person’s information only if they have that person’s signed and notarized consent or proof to act on the authority of said person. In these cases, requests must be made through the mail.

2. After receiving the request, the creative Knowing Privacy Officer will review the requested records and, in consultation with appropriate staff, prepare the records for disclosure. All records relating to the requested will be reviewed on a line-by-line basis to determine possible exceptions to disclosure.

3. Access to personal information cannot be denied based on the reason for the request. In some cases, however, the creative Knowing Privacy Officer may determine that discretionary or mandatory exceptions apply to the records requested. In such instances, the excepted information will be removed from the record prior to the record being disclosed to the applicant. The applicant will be advised that information has been made excepted from disclosure, and under authority the exceptions have been made.

4. Response to the application will be made within 30 days, unless the time limit has been extended as allowable by law.

5. As part of creative Knowing’s response, the applicant shall be told:
a. Whether access to the record or partial record is granted or refused
b. If access is granted, where, when, and how access will be given
c. If access is refused, the reasons for refusal and basis of refusal
d. The name, title, business address, and phone number of the creative Knowing Privacy Officer.

6. A creative Knowing staff member shall be present if the applicant views the original record to answer questions and maintain the integrity of the record. If information is severed from the record before disclosure of the information, the applicant no longer has the option of viewing the original record.

7. Should the applicant request that changes be made to the record, that record shall be updated within 10 business days. Should the applicant request that the record be destroyed, it shall also be done within 10 business days.

8. Deletion of records shall take place in the following manner:
a. Electronic Files: Electronic files will be deleted from the computer system, including database records, and any associated files. Please note that information that has been deleted may still exist in some form on the hard drive. This hard drive will be either cleaned or destroyed upon disposal of the computer.
b. Paper Files: All paper files will be shredded prior to disposal. Disposal will ordinarily take place in the form of paper recycling through a municipal recycling program, although disposal methods shall be left to the discretion of creative Knowing.

The creative Knowing Privacy Officer or delegate will complete the Access Request and/or Complaints Log detailing the steps taken in responding to the request
